TGUI 1.4

Member Function Documentation

◆ add()

void tgui::SplitContainer::add ( const Widget::Ptr & widgetPtr,
const String & widgetName = "" )
overridevirtual

Adds a widget to the container.

Parameters
widgetPtrPointer to the widget you would like to add
widgetNameYou can give the widget a unique name to retrieve it from the container later
Warning
Widgets should be named as if they are C++ variables, i.e. names must not include any whitespace, or most symbols (e.g.: +, -, *, /, ., &), and should not start with a number. If you do not follow these rules, layout expressions may give unexpected results. Alphanumeric characters and underscores are safe to use, and widgets are permitted to have no name.

The first widget added to the container will be placed on the left/top side of the splitter. The second widget added to the container will be placed on the right/bottom side of the splitter.

Reimplemented from tgui::Container.

◆ clone()

Widget::Ptr tgui::SplitContainer::clone ( ) const
nodiscardoverrideprotectedvirtual

Makes a copy of the widget if you don't know its exact type.

This function should only be used when you don't know the type of the widget. If you know what kind of widget you are copying, you should use the copy function.

Returns
Copy of the widget

Reimplemented from tgui::Group.

◆ copy()

static SplitContainer::Ptr tgui::SplitContainer::copy ( const SplitContainer::ConstPtr & splitContainer)
staticnodiscard

Makes a copy of another split container.

Parameters
splitContainerThe other split container
Returns
The new split container

◆ create()

static SplitContainer::Ptr tgui::SplitContainer::create ( const Layout2d & size = {"100%", "100%"})
staticnodiscard

Creates a new split container widget.

Parameters
sizeSize of the split container
Returns
The new split container

◆ draw()

void tgui::SplitContainer::draw ( BackendRenderTarget & target,
RenderStates states ) const
overridevirtual

Draw the child widgets to a render target.

Parameters
targetRender target to draw to
statesCurrent render states

Reimplemented from tgui::Group.

◆ getMaxValidSplitterOffset()

Current maximum splitter offset

◆ getMinimumGrabWidth()

float tgui::SplitContainer::getMinimumGrabWidth ( ) const
nodiscard

Returns the minimum width of the area where the splitter can be dragged.

Returns
Minimum width of draggable area located at the splitter

If this value is less or equal to SplitterWidth then the splitter can be grabbed when the mouse is on top of it. If the value is larger than SplitterWidth then there is a margin around the splitter where you can also grab it.

◆ getMinValidSplitterOffset()

float tgui::SplitContainer::getMinValidSplitterOffset ( ) const
nodiscard

Returns the minimum value for the splitter.

Returns
Current minimum splitter offset

◆ getOrientation()

Orientation tgui::SplitContainer::getOrientation ( ) const

◆ getRenderer()

SplitContainerRenderer * tgui::SplitContainer::getRenderer ( )
nodiscardoverridevirtual

Returns the renderer, which gives access to functions that determine how the widget is displayed.

Returns
Temporary pointer to the renderer
Warning
After calling this function, the widget has its own copy of the renderer and it will no longer be shared.

Reimplemented from tgui::Group.

Temporary pointer to the renderer that may be shared with other widgets using the same renderer

Reimplemented from tgui::Group.

◆ getSplitterOffset()

float tgui::SplitContainer::getSplitterOffset ( ) const
nodiscard

Returns the position of the splitter from the left or top position (depending on orientation)

Returns
Splitter position, which equals the size of the left or top widget (depending on orientation)

◆ getSplitterWidth()

float tgui::SplitContainer::getSplitterWidth ( ) const
nodiscard

Returns the width of the draggable splitter line that separates the two widgets in the container.

Returns
Thickness of the splitter line

◆ isMouseOnWidget()

bool tgui::SplitContainer::isMouseOnWidget ( Vector2f pos) const
nodiscardoverridevirtual

Returns whether the mouse position (which is relative to the parent widget) lies on top of the widget.

Returns
Is the mouse on top of the widget?

Reimplemented from tgui::Group.

◆ leftMousePressed()

bool tgui::SplitContainer::leftMousePressed ( Vector2f pos)
overridevirtual

Called by the parent when the left mouse button goes down on top of the widget.

Parameters
posMouse position in view coordinates relative to the parent widget
Returns
True if the clicked part of the widget is draggable, i.e. if the widget should continue to receive mouse move events until the mouse is released, even when the mouse leaves the widget. When false is returned, the mouse move events will only be sent to the widget as long as the mouse is on top of the widget.

Reimplemented from tgui::Container.

◆ load()

void tgui::SplitContainer::load ( const std::unique_ptr< DataIO::Node > & node,
const LoadingRenderersMap & renderers )
overrideprotectedvirtual

Loads the widget from a tree of nodes.

Reimplemented from tgui::Container.

◆ mouseEnteredWidget()

void tgui::SplitContainer::mouseEnteredWidget ( )
overrideprotectedvirtual

This function is called when the mouse enters the widget.

Reimplemented from tgui::Widget.

◆ mouseLeftWidget()

void tgui::SplitContainer::mouseLeftWidget ( )
overrideprotectedvirtual

This function is called when the mouse leaves the widget.

Reimplemented from tgui::Widget.

◆ mouseMoved()

void tgui::SplitContainer::mouseMoved ( Vector2f pos)
overridevirtual

Reimplemented from tgui::Container.

◆ mouseNoLongerOnWidget()

void tgui::SplitContainer::mouseNoLongerOnWidget ( )
overridevirtual

Reimplemented from tgui::Container.

◆ rendererChanged()

void tgui::SplitContainer::rendererChanged ( const String & property)
overrideprotectedvirtual

Function called when one of the properties of the renderer is changed.

Parameters
propertyName of the property that was changed

Reimplemented from tgui::Group.

◆ save()

std::unique_ptr< DataIO::Node > tgui::SplitContainer::save ( SavingRenderersMap & renderers) const
nodiscardoverrideprotectedvirtual

Saves the widget as a tree node in order to save it to a file.

Reimplemented from tgui::Container.

◆ setMaxValidSplitterOffset()

void tgui::SplitContainer::setMaxValidSplitterOffset ( AbsoluteOrRelativeValue maxOffset)

Sets the maximum value for the splitter, effectively providing a minimum size for the bottom/right widget.

Parameters
maxOffsetMaximum splitter offset

Example code:

splitContainer1->setMaxValidSplitterOffset(600);
splitContainer2->setMaxValidSplitterOffset("80%");

◆ setMinimumGrabWidth()

void tgui::SplitContainer::setMinimumGrabWidth ( float width)

Sets the minimum width of the area where the splitter can be dragged.

Parameters
widthMinimum width of draggable area located at the splitter

If this value is less or equal to SplitterWidth then the splitter can be grabbed when the mouse is on top of it. If the value is larger than SplitterWidth then there is a margin around the splitter where you can also grab it.

◆ setMinValidSplitterOffset()

void tgui::SplitContainer::setMinValidSplitterOffset ( AbsoluteOrRelativeValue minOffset)

Sets the minimum value for the splitter, effectively providing a minimum size for the top/left widget.

Parameters
minOffsetMinimum splitter offset

Example code:

splitContainer1->setMinValidSplitterOffset(200);
splitContainer2->setMinValidSplitterOffset("30%");

◆ setOrientation()

void tgui::SplitContainer::setOrientation ( Orientation orientation)

Sets whether the widgets are placed left and right of the splitter or above and below the splitter.

Parameters
orientationHorizontal to place widgets beside each other, vertical to place widgets below each other

◆ setSize() [1/2]

void tgui::SplitContainer::setSize ( const Layout2d & size)
overridevirtual

Changes the size of the split container.

Parameters
sizeThe new size of the split container

Reimplemented from tgui::Group.

◆ setSize() [2/2]

void tgui::Widget::setSize ( Layout width,
Layout height )
inline

Changes the size of the widget.

Parameters
widthWidth of the widget
heightHeight of the widget
Warning
This setSize overload must never be used from internal TGUI code or by custom widget implementations

◆ setSplitterOffset()

void tgui::SplitContainer::setSplitterOffset ( AbsoluteOrRelativeValue offset)

Sets the position of the splitter from the left or top position (depending on orientation)

Parameters
offsetSplitter position, which equals the size of the left or top widget (depending on orientation)

Example code:

splitContainer1->setSplitterOffset(100);
splitContainer2->setSplitterOffset("50%");

◆ setSplitterWidth()

void tgui::SplitContainer::setSplitterWidth ( float width)

Sets the width of the draggable splitter line that separates the two widgets in the container.

Parameters
widthThickness of the splitter line

◆ setWidgetIndex()

bool tgui::SplitContainer::setWidgetIndex ( const Widget::Ptr & widget,
std::size_t index )
overridevirtual

Changes the index of a widget in this container.

Widgets are drawn in the order of the list, so overlapping widgets with a higher index will appear on top of others.

By changing the order of the first and second widget, you swap which widget is placed on the left/top side and which widget is placed on the right/bottom side of the splitter.

Parameters
widgetWidget that is to be moved to a different index
indexNew index of the widget, corresponding to the widget position after the widget has been moved
Returns
True when the index was changed, false if widget wasn't found in the container or index was too high

Reimplemented from tgui::Container.
